August is such a weird little month.
Summer isn't quite over, but we're starting to see signs of fall everywhere. School is back (or almost back), football season is around the corner, the mornings are starting to feel a little different, and suddenly I'm ready for cozy clothes, fall colors, and everything pumpkin — even though it's still 90 degrees outside.
So, instead of waiting for September, I'm sharing some of my favorite August finds — the things I'm loving right now and think are actually worth buying as we transition from summer into fall.
From August fashion finds and affordable fall clothing to home finds, mom favorites, baby essentials, and everyday products I'm reaching for constantly, these are the things currently sitting at the top of my shopping list.
Why August Is One of My Favorite Months to Shop
August is actually one of my favorite times to shop because you get the best of both worlds.
There are still plenty of summer sales and warm-weather essentials, but retailers are also starting to roll out their fall collections.
That means it's a great time to look for versatile pieces that can transition from August into September and October.
I'm especially looking for things that can be worn or used multiple ways — because nobody needs a closet full of clothes that only work for one season.
Basically, if it works for late summer AND early fall, I'm interested.
My Favorite August Finds
Here are some of the products and categories I'm loving most this month.
1. Transitional Fall Clothing
One of my biggest August shopping priorities is fall clothing that you can actually wear right now.
Because as much as I love a good sweater, I'm not putting one on when it's 95 degrees outside.
Instead, I'm looking for lightweight pieces that can transition into cooler weather.
Some of my favorite August fashion finds include:
- Brochu Walker - The Gaia Marled Tee (ASO Meghan Markle, Too!)
-
Tracy James Collection, Upper Village Jeans (Blue or White - Both are fab!)
- Sezane Louisa Jumper in Light Beige (For those cooler days - super cozy and goes with anything!)
- Brochu Walker - The Cassis Sunglasses (I feel like these are a trendier version of a classic....can't go wrong!)
- Blenders Sunglasses (Affordable & Fashionable)
- Abercrombie & Fitch Eagles Hat (Go Birds!)
2. Cute Graphic Sweatshirts & T-Shirts
If you've been around here for a while, you already know I love a good graphic sweatshirt. And August is when I start getting really excited about them - especially since we are getting right into spooky season!
Graphic sweatshirts and t-shirts are one of those pieces that make getting dressed incredibly easy. Throw one on with leggings and sneakers and you're done.
And if you're a mom, you know that easy outfits are everything. Here are some of my favorite finds so far....
- Halloween Town Crewneck Sweatshirt
- No Diggity, 90s Throwback T-Shirt
- Abercrombie & Fitch Eagles Hoodie (Go Birds!)
- Customized Mama Hoodie - How Cute!
3. August Baby Finds
August shopping looks a little different these days because I'm also shopping for a baby. And if you're expecting a baby or shopping for a little one, this is actually a great time to start thinking about fall baby essentials.
My biggest advice? Don't go completely overboard on newborn-sized clothing. Babies grow so incredibly fast, and the adorable outfit that you thought would be perfect for a fall photo might only fit for approximately three minutes. I'm much more interested in comfortable, washable, practical pieces that can actually survive spit-up, diaper blowouts, and everything else that comes with baby life.
Cute, Funny, Yet Livable Onesie
Sleep Bags! (So Much Easier Than Swaddles)
Binky Clips - Never Lose a Paci Again!
Play Purse Set - I mean come on...how cute!
Magnetic Me Footie - So easy for those late night changes....trust me!
Bear Dress - Onesie with a Skirt!
Dino Footie (Magnetic!)
Fun Burp Cloths - These are Harry Potter, but there are many other designs!
4. Back-to-School Finds
Even if you're not personally shopping for school supplies, like me, August has me wanting to organize everything.
So here's what I bought....
- Baby Packing Cubes
-
Baby Formula Travel Container
- Shower Rings - This seems crazy, but these are amazing for hooking clothing sets together for your little one. Just hook on the top of the hanger and you'll never lose the separate pieces.
- Cuyana Travel Case
- New Luggage for Fall Trips
- Carry All Bag That's Really Easy to Clean (Harry Potter Themed for Us!)
There is something about August that makes me believe I can completely reorganize my life with a new planner. Will it work? Ask me again in October. 😂 But I love anything that makes everyday routines easier, especially when life starts getting busier.
5. Home & Health Finds
Some of my favorite August home and health finds include:
- HATCH Baby Sound Machine
- A Healthier Toothpaste
- All Natural Magnesium Drops
- Our New Favorite Liquid-IV Flavor
- Tubby Todd Baby Cream - Healthy AND It Works!
A few small changes can completely change the feeling of a room.
And let's be honest — there's nothing better than lighting a candle, grabbing a blanket, and pretending the temperature outside isn't still approximately 900 degrees.
My August Shopping Favorites
August is all about that awkward-but-fun transition between seasons.
We're still enjoying summer, but we're also getting excited for everything coming next.
So these are the things I'm loving most right now — comfortable clothes, practical mom finds, baby essentials, home favorites, affordable everyday products, and a few fun things that simply make life better.
And because I know how overwhelming online shopping can be, I've put all of my favorite August finds together in one place. I'll keep updating this list throughout the month as I find things I genuinely love. Because if I'm going to tell you to buy something, I want it to be something I'd actually buy myself.
Happy August shopping!
